The Sielles bath®
Once upon a time, at the feet of the Stevia, on the summer pasture of Sielles, there was a cowherd's hut. On its side flowed the bubbling waters of the Puez spring (now in a natural park). In this hut, at the beginning of the 18th century, thanks to the great interest in wellness, the benefits of the heat emanated from the oven built into the wall were discovered. This heat, together with the steam and pine resin of the area, helped to fight colds, muscular contractures and rheumatism.
The women of those days appreciated the tonic and cosmetic action on their skin. After a "Sielles bath®", as this heat therapy was called, they would bathe in the Puez brook and benefit from the natural plantar reflexotherapy performed by the brook's many dolomitic stones smoothed over thousands of years of erosion.
Towards the middle of the 18th century, the church banned the use of the Sielles bath because it considered it as too licentious. This traditional treasure of the Gardena area was rediscovered by the Prinoth family which followed in detail the original method.
Of course, hay baths cannot be left out and hence complete our wellness offer which remains faithful to the customs of this valley. The hay cut at a height of 2200 meters on the Stevia is rich in officinal properties, has a purifying and anti-rheumatic action and fights disorders affecting internal organs.
"La Culla by Olos", a bath for "Kings"
The OLOS philosophy reaches its acme in La Culla by OLOS, a space dedicated completely to naturalness, whose heart is a special tub that offers the opportunity to benefit from the effects of steam together with those of essential oils, colors and music.
In this case, too, the naturalness is blended perfectly with research and technology because the tub not only makes it possible to release the steam gradually depending on the areas to be treated (by avoiding those inconveniences typical of saunas and Turkish baths), but it can also be used as a cot on which the beautician can perform other treatments.
The Puez brook and the Path in the Woods
The sole of the foot is one of the most sensitive and neglected parts of the human body. Plantar reflexotherapy and Kneipp baths are some of the few available therapies.
Plantar reflexotherapy requires expert hands and Kneipp baths, seldom appreciated, may give rise to doubts on the hygiene of the hot and cold water baths.
By copying a natural therapy used by our ancestors, we suggest a walk through the brook covered with smooth stones and washed by the continuous flow of the waters of the Puez spring and then a walk on a replica of a forest path.
The latter, covered with pine needles, leaves and essential oils, released by treading the path, induces a series of feelings closely attached to nature. The disinfectant function of the oils, the toning and rediscovery of this natural movement activates a series of positive reactions of the body.
