The "Sielles" Bath
Once upon a time, at the foothills of an alpine meadow called "Stevia
Alm", there stood a wooden hut. A little brook flowed beside it, coming
from the Puez water spring (now a nature reserve). At the end of the 18th
Century, someone with a desire for well-being began to use the warm spring
water as a non-medical practitioner. Heat and water steam were mixed and
a tight carpet made of fir-tree branches, released the tangy fragrances
found in the surrounding woods. It was called the "Sielles" bath and had
a healing influence for rheumatism, muscle tension and colds. The ladies
welcomed the cosmetic effects on their skin. After the bath, it was recommended
to freshen up in the cool waters of the Puez spring to re-activate circulation.
The dolomite rocks, edged during thousands of years by the waters of the
Puez spring, acted as a natural reflexology massage. In the middle of the
Century, the clergy forbid the use of the "Sielles" bath. They said, it
stimulated indecency and would lead people into sin. This ethnic treasure
was re-invented by the Prinoth Family for their wellness department and
copied true to nature in even the smallest details. Of course, according
to old tradition, the hay bath was also not forgotten about: the hay from
the surrounding alpine 'Puez' meadows with many herbs helps to purify the
body and aids the fight against rheumatic illnesses, tension and illnesses
of the inner organs, gastroenteritis, as well as the uro-genital system.

Walking on a forest floor
The foot area is one of the most sensitive parts
of the human body because many nerves end there. But this area is very
much neglected.
Foot-reflexology or Kneipp-walking treatments are really the only options.
Foot reflexology requires well-trained personnel and time, whilst the
Kneipp-walks are usually only used by a small number of clients only.
Also the hygienic situation in the cold and warm water trays is sometimes
a problem.
Here the foot treatments on a forest floor provide a new option: in
accordance with nature a new experience is created which gives to the
client long forgotten impulses. Innumerable gentle tickles stimulate the
soles of the feet, due to the warmth and the traction essential oils are
set free from the natural floor covering and a strong aroma fills the area.
The natural damping of the ground supports movements which are benefical
for the relaxation of the entire joint system. The pressure of the body
sets free tannic acids from the fir needles which have regulating benefits
to the microbiological foot climate.
The floor covering can be used for more than one treatment. Also the
structure of the forest floor can be changed at any time by using different
materials.Fir needles, leaves or herbs provide different stimuli and so
seasonal adaptations corresponding with the surrounding environment are
possible.
